I have know Luke Herbert for the past 5 years in my capacity as Head Teacher Creative and Performing Arts at Peakhurst High School. Luke has been a student at our school before my arrival and was beginning his music career which included Percussion tutoring at this time. Luke has been employed by the Department of Education as a music tutor and has worked in other schools in our region.

Luke has worked with both elective music students and band program students at Peakhurst High and has been undoubtedly our most valued tutor. Students and staff have found Luke’s personal qualities of reliability and dedication to be of the highest quality. He is a skilled musician with a very perceptive , patient and calm manner with the students.
Luke has always made himself available to assist and participate in music activities beyond school hours attending annual music camps and concerts. Our parents have on many occasions commented on their satisfaction with Luke’s tutoring achievements and are also keen to see him return to our school
Yours Truly, Chris Jinga

RICHARD DODD
Dear Whom it May Concern,
I am writing this letter in support of Luke Herbert a music artist from Australia.
By way of background, I am the honored recipient of five Grammy awards for my work with Tom Petty, the Dixie Chicks and Delbert McClinton in categories of Rock, Pop, Country and Blues. I am also fortunate to have received many International Platinum and Gold discs. I have forty years of professional experience in the music industry and as an Engineer and Producer I have recorded many famous and talented Artists, a list that also includes George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison and Placido Domingo, Thus I believe that I am well qualified to render this opinion of Mr. Herbert
Being in the enviable position of meeting many of the world’s most talented musicians I occasionally work with someone who is a uniquely gifted. Luke Herbert, in my opinion, is one such musician.
Luke brings an ability to combine the many parts of composition and performance that is both fresh and mature. This combination is rare and places Luke well above the average musician. He is just the type of person our music industry can never have enough of.
Sincerely yours, Richard Dodd,
Engineer, Producer, Mixer and Mastering www.RichardDodd.com

It gives me great pleasure to write this testimonial for Luke Herbert. I have known Luke for a period of eight years, in the capacity of teacher, fellow musician, my employee, my children’s babysitter and music tutor and family friend.

Luke was a dedicated and highly motivated member of Peakhurst High schools band program over six years. He played as lead percussionist in the concert band and Stage Band. He
displayed through these groups that he is diligent in practise, possesses excellent communication skills and that he is extremely reliable. An example of his dedication to his craft can be seen when he accompanied 1999 HSC students, learning over fifty pieces of music and attending rehearsals in every spare minute of his time. In 2000 when he sat for the HSC he also accompanied his classmates. Luke was rewarded for these efforts with a nomination for ENCORE, outstanding HSC music performances and an excellent music HSC result.

Luke has performed professionally in a variety of groups and genres from the 2000 Olympic Games Marching Band to his own contemporary bands.

Since school I have employed Luke as a drum tutor at Peakhurst High school and Oatley Public school. He has an excellent rapport with students and an extremely high work ethic. He is always reliable and cooperative with the ever changing needs of school programs.
On occasions when I have needed help Luke has also babysat my children, to their excitement, as he is very able to keep them entertained. Lukes' great sense of humour and his positive personality have made him a popular man with his peers, his students, his employers and my children.
Luke is also a talented actor and magician, talents, which he has utilised working at children's parties and performing in plays. I have seen his magic show on several occasions and have always found it entertaining. He also performed at my sons 4th birthday and helped out as my son wanted a drumming, magic party. It was a very successful day and I still get calls for his number. My son now learns drums off Luke and is enjoying every minute.

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Luke as sincere, trustworthy, reliable, professional and entertaining.

Yours faithfully,
Narelle Lucas
